I have a 1g talon and i read some place that if you took ur corner light out that you could remove the amber peice is this true? because if it is it would save me 35dollars! If you removed the amber peice then u would have free clear corners. Is this true?

dam, i wish someone new. im gonna buy some clear corners soon. it would save me the money too.

Yes, you can do this on a 1st Gen. However, with the time/effort/end result, the clear ones you buy look much nicer IMHO....especially for only $30-$35.

can you do it in the 1g '92-'94? cause if i'm not mistaken there is an actual oval shaped hole cut in the lense and there is an oval amber piece glued in? If it can be done then can you tell me? i'd much rather do it myself than by 'em.

i believe that you have to bake them to melt the glue then you just pull the amber peice out of there....

i did it to mine...its a 90. just take the piece inside, put it in REALLY hot (doesn't have to be boiling) water, take the pieces apart, then take the amber piece out, put the pieces back together...TA DA! done! takes like 10 to 15 minutes for each one...costs like what...20 cents to run the stove for a minute? dont buy the replacement one for 30+...just do what i did, and its cheap.

look at my pics...they are completely clear...the only thing that is makin mine not clear is the amber bulbs...which are gone now, i changed them

they are identical to the replacement clear corners...just free, not 30 bucks!

that's what i thought, and that's what i kept trying to argue. But everyone kept tellin me it could be done anyway... oh well.
