I'm making a new exhaust for my car right now and also getting it prepped for paint. I was playing around in photoshop. The first pic is how it is now, the following is what I plan to do. Opinions please.

Please dont do that. All you will doing is adding weight to your car and letting everyone see the ricer boy inside you.

Quad tailpipes are reserved for certain cars(m5, corvette, etc). Your little 4 banger doesnt make the list.

I'm pretty anti-rice man, but I also appreciate symmetrics of a car and tasteful mods. There's a difference between rice and tasteful exterior mods. We all have spoilers on our cars and my 1g has vents on the sides, it's like where do you draw the line? Are all srt4 guys not ricers because the factory did the dual tip exhausts instead of them, so it's fine? In my opinion, if I had one N1 sticking 4" out the rear bumper, that would be 100 fold more "ricer" than this.

And adding extra weight? Please dude. DSMs are pigs as is, and the extra 15# won't be noticed. Ever. It's a daily driven car, not a carbon fiber lemans car.

I think having four tips is much ricer than a single high flow muffler.

Another thing is getting the bumper to look right after you put in the other set of tips.

As much as I initially liked the quads, I do have to agree with boostershot on the dual(srt4 style) vs quad tips. The quads do seem a bit overkill...though I wouldn't necessarily call it ricy...
 
Two single tips wouldn't be bad. Maybe just a straight 3" pipe look. Could cut them at an angle too.

Kind of like a v8 camaro or something, that sounds like itd be kind of cool.

Just to clear up, Im not bashing the dual single pipe look. There are plenty of four cylinders that have begun doing that(evox). Not to mention I own a srt-4. I dont mind the way it looks and realize that second tip is just for show, but if I could have one tip instead I probably would. The problem is that the cars bumper has two spaces for two tips, which would make it look a little weird.
 
neither, I'd look into getting something different all together, sorry you asked for opinions, and srt4 came stock with duals and they also are ugly.
 
Ugly! Don't do it. Just spend your money somewhere else that make your car faster. Don't ruin the car!
 
It is kind of a joke of the auto world to see dual exhaust on a 4 cyl car, it serves no purpose, except to get you laughed at behind your back, and likely to your face in some cases.
