Hey Everyone,

Is the peice thats broken part of the complete dash and would require a whole new dash? If so is there any quick cheap ways to rig it to work? If it's not a part of the complete dash, what would it be called?

I found this dash on ebay, but to me the picture is too far out so I can't tell if it's what I'm talking about or not.

Yes, that's part of the dash. I've fixed one broken just like that with superglue before - it held up just ok. You could also try some jb weld. I really don't think it's worth the money and effort of buying and replacing the dash. The radio should stay in fine without that one screw.

Yeah that's very true, by superglueing you had the peice that broke im assuming? or made a little replacement part? I might try to rig something. The nice thing about buying the complete dash would be that I could mess around with the old one painting/customizing it without actually "ruining" it before actually doing it. (Get an Idea for color scheme and what gets what color and whatnot)

Thanks Turbosax

I believe I had the metal retaining clip, but not the plastic part. I made a replacement for the plastic part from thick styrene and drilled a hole through it for the screw.

I don't have either peice so I might just superglue a peice of hard plastic in there then go get a floppy disk or something and use the metal to make my own little clip :p Think that would work?

You can do without it- the important part is that stud sticking out above the hole- that's what the mount hangs from. It's also an appropriate place to be using some JB-Weld to put in a replacement piece of plastic.
