new rims for spring..help me choose which ones!!

hey guys..spring is right around the corner and im looking to get some new wheels. i've got 5 different ones and i need some opinions on what you guys think. let me know what you guys like..thanks in advance.

well..its a toss up between those. to let you guys know, these will be going on a white 96 eclipse. also, what do you guys think of a 96 eclipse w/99 oem front, 96 sides and rear? should i opt to find 97+ sides, or just stick with what i have? any input is greatly appreciated. thanks in advance.

Style wise you should get the 99 oem front end with 97+ sides. Uniqueness counts to me when you really want to cruise, ride, race etc.

The more unique the better. I would at least get the 99 oem front end.

Rims that I like are the Exel TZ-10 those are sharp and also I like the Exel Ennio's they are more refined styles in my opinon. Hope it works out good for you.

hah well, price really isnt an issue. i have enough to pay for any of those 5. i want one of those selected wheels, but im not sure which. im leaning on the bronze cp8's but the hyperblack zigen's look pretty nice imo. c'mon guys..i know there are more of you out there that have a say in what you like and dont like..help me out. thanks again!!

gotta love the 5zigen's! they are bad-@$$!! but get them in 18 instead of 17...just my opinion.

yeh same thoughts on the 5zigens, but they dont carry them in 18s. 17s only which kind of sucked a$$.

I like the bronze CP8s and the Axis VPDs most. Personally I'd probably go with the bronze CP8s.

I like the Axis VPD, how much do they weigh compared to the other's? I think they are fairly lightweight. What tire's do you plan on getting?

im not really too concerned about weight since i have a GS. so im not worried about how heavy the rims are. im not sure about the tires, wheelmax didnt say which make or brand of tires came with the package. i listed the price and size of the tires with the pictures though. so far..looks like a toss up between the cp8's and the vpd's. im more leaning towards the cp8's though because it'll give my car a different look from a lot of dsm's i see up here. a lot of people seem to be doing the black/gunmetal rims on a light car. so it'll make it look a little different. if anybody can photoshop the cp8's or vpd's on a white eclipse..that'd be great?..!!

OZ superlegarra's The best looking rim ever. my buddy and i just put 18's on his 97 and they look more sweet than a, a, a bag of sugar. i recomend em.

whatever you decide on, go with 18's. im assuming your car is mostly "show" and maybe a little "go", but 18's would look a lot better. Have you even thought about 19's?

dsm90b: thanks for the recommendation of the superlegarras, but im down to these 5 styles. honestly though, the superlegarras look similar to what i have right now. i have the 16" oz f1 plus's that came stock on some of the 2g's. so i want something else rather, in a different style. thanks again though for the recommendation.

talontsi01: yeh i thought about 19s, but i dont really want to overdo it. its got its share of go-fast goodies on the car but i know its not the fastest, and i certainly dont treat it like it is only reason im not looking at 19s is because my car is pretty low as it. 19s most likely would have to be tucked and im not into that at all. so i figure 18s are best suited for me.

turbogs-t: nah not looking for c2's. i owned a set when i had my civic h/b(hey it was b18 powered). so i've had my time with the c2's. hell, 3 piece c5's would be awesome, but i lack the funds necessary to own them. hah. arguably my most favorite wheels though.

hah yeh exel's are nice. those are the rims i initially wanted, but then looked around a little more and saw some other stuff that interested me. right now im sitting on either the cp8s, vpds, or fn-01s. i love the hyperblack color of the fn-01s. but the cp8's are looking quite nice as are the vpds. gotta sell my 16" oz f1's too while im at it. excellent condition with brand new tires for $600 plus shipping..hint hint..if anybody wants em?

Personally, I think the Excel rims are kinda booty. I hear that they are pretty soft. The Axis VPD's are great rims and have a good build quality, plus they are very light. The 5Zigen fn01 are the same way, and look a bit better IMO on eclipse. CP8's are the #### too.

Personally, I would take a look at the Black Pro Racing N1 in bronze. They are imported and manufactured by 5zigen.
