i have seen many things done to the center piece on the 2g mitsubishi eclipse. well i had two stock ones so i had to experiment with one of them.....i believe i am the first person to do it this way! so here is my tutorial on how to do it. (thnx to Skot aka me) oh by the way i think i am posting this in the wrong forum section but this is the only place i could post so yeah... strict rules. tell me what you think! comments are welcomed.

just follow the pictures...... also i forgot to tell you this may not be this best way to do this mod but its the way i did.... and another thing use the best paint and clear coat you can buy! very important! also i glued aluminum foil inside the black piece to help glare the light! (important part) mod cost me $18-$10 for the separate taillight bulbs and wires from a local junkyard and $8 for spray paint.

alright leave me comments and tell me what you think! (i did this because i never seen it done before and i thought it would be different)

You need to resize your pics please.

I've seen it done before, but in blue. However the red looks much better...

First off... Spyder97gs, that's the funniest sh!t I've seen all week!!

Secondly, I can't wait to see InfiniteGSX's response to this thread as he has done a fabulous center tail light up conversion (not quite as cool as Azdave's though).

+1 on the Azdave, his tail lights are bad ass. I have seen this before a couple of times.

That is pretty good I like that. You did a good job on it I might have to try it out.

Looks nice.. I like it.
Apparently every thing is rice these days.

Looks good. Custom, something different.

I think I'd rather get the thing painted to match the car. Or you could mask off the letters and still get it painted but light up the letters.

Funny that my center piece is being painted as we read LOL

yeah anything nowadays thats not stock or performance oriented is rice. It has to do with the fact that dsm's are almost worthless now and anything non stock makes it worth even less. It also has to do with the average age of the members now. I like the center piece but it would look better using leds.

Damnit! Someone should've told this to the dealership I bought my car from, and all the vendors I bought my upgrades from. Worthless Mitsu! I knew I shouldv'e bought a Civic :dsm:

And you say this because? There are cars that are show cars that I can respect and there are cars that are very extraordinary in a negative way..See I made my statement without saying the "R" word cause it seems like a lot of people get really offended. Hmm...I wonder who those people are??

LOL... Don't worry, I don't take offense at all. I don't think my car is THAT ricey either. :) It does seem though that other people really get offended at the use of the R word.
Yea, I know. That's why I tried not to use it again. Sorry if I offended you but I dont think your car is R.... Dammit! You get the drift.
And for those of you that don't know, I used to have a huge carbon fiber drift wing adorning the lid of my trunk.

BTW, we both have used the "D" word... I fear that it won't be too long before it becomes the new "R" word. ROFL
