will an avic n3 fit in a 98 eclipse gsx

i am buying a flip out for my car and my friend has a pioneer avic n3 and i was wondering if that will fit in my car if anyone has any information it would be greatly appreciated.

Every aftermarket headunit I've seen will fit in any car. The only problem you could run into is if the factory headunit is a single din and you're looking at putting in a double din headunit. The pioneer you're looking out is a flip out single din and will fit in your car with a mounting kit and harness that you can buy at any car electronic store (local car shop, best buy, circuit city).

is your car a manual?? if it is you will have to mount it in the top din slot. depending on what else your wanting to put in the radio slot, just say you were gonna install a flip out screen and a single din dvd player. it would be a little hard to do something like that if you had a manual because most 6.5 or 7" screens will come really close if not collide with the stick when sliding out. as long as you buy a dash kit though for a single din radio with a 1/2 din pocket on the bottom you can install the screen in the din slot and it will slide over the gear shifter.

also, does the avic require an external brain to operate?? if so you better stick it under the console somewhere because of the mass of wires associated with the install.
