Yah I was just thinking about changing my sig. How long do guys think I can run without putting hoodpins in, and I also want some good hood pins not the sh!tty ones I had.

As long as you dont exceed 35-40 mph I dont think not having hood pins will be a problem. But get them asap.
IMO you should get Anodized Red Sparco Hood pins.

Whoa awesome look. Keep the headlights red though, i think it looks better that way.

I likes!!!!

One thing though.. u might want to consider changing the part between the hood and the windshield (where the wipers bolt on to) back to black. Looks a lil weird it being red and all... know what I mean?!?

Looks clean though man... congrats! :thumb:

Because VIS carbon fiber hoods are pretty crappy in construction you need to use hood pins. I have a lead on a carbon fiber hood that is fully braced with fiberglass and has built in stock mounting points that are very strong. They are guaranteed to fit like stock with not additional mounting hardware at all.

When it's available I'll have it on my car don't worry about that and you will all see it.

Jim why are VIS hoods crappy? Ive heard nothing but good things about them.

Looks nice!. I'd get one but I really don't want to run hood pins and I've heard of too many people having theirs unlatching on them and smashing their windshields.

aftermarket carbon fiber hoods come with a hook that lines up with the factory latch, you don't need hood pins.

But a lot of the time, the latch sucks. Someone i know with a Fiber Images hood on his Maxima ran it without hoodpins, and at 35 mph one day, the hood broke the latch and flipped back and smashed his windshield. That's why they say to always run hoodpins. The aftermarket latch is almost never going to be as good as stock. A lot of the aftermarket hoods latches barely line up with the stock latch.
