hey guys
so i have been searching around and I have found a place to purchase the 1ga headlight covers\blackouts. I was wondering if anyone has these installed on their car and what it looks like. I have found the gts brand i believe it is and i just want to make sure they look good, machv's site the pic isnt very good of them installed so I want to see your pics!! there doesnt seem to be any posts on this site with a pic of them on a car either

no one probably has pictures cause people steal them the first 15 seconds you leave your car parked somewhere...sorry venting on past times because it happened to me :mad:

thats a good point, maybe I will just buy some spray tint and do them myself, I would not be happy if they got stolen off my car seing as though they are $50. What company makes a good spray tint?
 
do not buy spray tint, when you use spray tint on clear lenses the light reflects red/pink. FYI I used VHT Nightshades, do a search I did a write up its on the last page to see results.
 
I did the same thing to my head lights, if your going to follow his steps I have a couple more tips to add. Instead of using the heat gun which in my opinion is a pain, I preheated the stove to 350 degrees and put them in there for about 3-5 minutes and pulled them apart with ease. Also after you heat them back up and stick them together, use RTV as an extra seal so you don't get condensation after all that hard work.

i think instead of heating the glue back up to put the lense and housing back together i will just completely remove all glue and use rtv to seal it all back up. i assum i wont need to use much rtv that stuff is pretty strong
