OK, i just bought a new Alpine head unit and just finished installing it

i have a question for those of you with Alpine head units, is there any cord that i can use to play my Creative Zen player on this deck? like a ipod to male cord they sell?

LOL it might have been answered before but i couldn't find it on here, i even searched Google. I would just like to listen to my mp3 player too.:D

I have seen a BUNCH of different Alpine headunits with different Inputs, so im not sure exactly what your looking for but I'll list some that I have Installed that have worked well

3.5mm (headphone jack) to 3.5mm This is used when you have a 3.5mm input on the face or in the back of the radio and you can just plug your I-pod in the headphone port.

3.5mm to RCA. Plug into head phone jack of the I-Pod then Use the RCA input in the back of the radio.

Alpine I-pod harness...This plugs into the back of some alpine radios and utilizes the jack on the bottom of the I-pod so It will aslo charge it as well.

there are some for ya...hopefully one will suit your needs.

that's the problem there's nothing like that...there's 2 plugs on the back (red and white) but i think those are for a amp

i need a ipod to 3.5mm

do they make that?

let me try to explain a little better

i have 2 connections in the back of the unit (manual says there for an amp) and the only other thing i can do is get a cord that would connect to a ipod wire that goes to a 3.5mm...

hard to explain...ill take pics later on today so u can see what I'm talking about

You aren't going to be able to get musical notes into the pre-amp "out" door. If you don't have an AUX input on the face of your player, there probably won't be one on the back .

Why couldnt You use a 3.5-3.5 mm jack as I stated earlier??? You claim the radio has a 3.5mm Input right?? Well the I-pod has a 3.5mm output...(the headphone jack on the I-Pod) You will not find a cable that attaches to the bottom of the I-pod and also go to a 3.5mm jack. They sell the cables im talking about at any radio shack or electronic store
