Anyone know if this is possible? I am considering projectors but I've heard about they're crappy lighting display. I'd like to do a retro fit on them. Probably TSX lights. Would anyone happen to know:

a. What I would need for this conversion?
b. Around how much would this cost me
c. Is it worth it?
d. Are there any other cars I can retrofit lights from?

Thanks for any help guys. I appreciate it greatly. :thumb::thumb:

TONS of threads like this...Anyway.
I used projectors from the 2005-2007 Volvo S40. I bought e-bay projector headlights and gutted them. (put them in the oven for approx 5-10 mins on 300 degrees to loosen the glue that holds the lens to the backing. This allows for acces to the projector)
Measure the distance between the holes where the old projector mounted and once you get a set of new projectors, measure the distance between them.
Go to Lowes / Home Depot and get a small peice of aluminum sheet metal.
Cut out small peices that will be able to make new mounting points inside this housing. You need a dremel tool to be able to shape the metal so it will not only fit inside the light but also around the projector if it gets in the way when trying to line it up. I will take pics of the brackets I made to do this. Function follows form so dont worry about how it looks as long as it holds it tight.
Any wiring should be straight forward depending on the lights you try to put in.
I also used lock washers when bolting it together to prevent the bolts from walking apart after hitting bumps.

The end result is well worth the effort. I had the old projectors with an HID kit from e-bay and the light was alright but not what I was expecting. After some hesitation to peform this, I decided to go with it and the end result is much more beneficial and easier to oncoming traffic as well.

Any questions feel free to PM me.

Pardon the rough drawing, but hopefully you get the idea.
