I want to take the rear bumper off my 93 talon and put on a 2g rear bumper. Any hints, clues, suggestions or advice??

That's not going to be a direct bolt up, you will have to do a lot of custom fabrication to get it to fit. Are you wanting to just do the bumper or the lights also? Specifically which 2g

i will be swapping lights as well which is actually the premise for the bumper swap. i want more options for lighting and such. i dont have the time or money (or really the desire) to make my car go any faster since its just a 1.8 so i am concentrating on visuals.

i want to stick to talon i dont want any laser or eclipse parts on the car. unless i get into a situation where if i want the car to run i have no other choice

I did a quick photoshop of what it would look like. I didnt color it so it would look like te same paint but you get the idea,, thats general how it would be. I think getting the taillights to fit would be the hardest part...

The jury is still out on how that looks to me... If you're more concerned about looks I'd say check out this thread: Links to 1st gen bodykits - DSMsource.com Forums its got links to some body kits for for the 1g. It would be a hell of a lot easier/cheaper to get one of them. Who knows you might eventually do the 4G63T swap.

IMHO I'd say get a project car for 100-1000 and start building that and keep the 1.8 as a DD
