Niles,
I feel pretty dumb asking this but i need to get into the rear defoster button to get a blue led in there but i can't find a way to get into it. I have the panel off just i can't get it off that holder that holds the 3 buttons together. Does anyone know how to get it out of that holder?

When you get the panel off there are two screws that hold the buttons on. You have to take them out, when that’s done you push the button from the back and it pops out from the front. Hope this helps you.

Are you talking about getting the dfroster switch off of the dash panel? If you are, a couple of small flat head screw drivers on both sides of the switch from the rear, be carefull not to put too much tension or the panel will break, then just push the button from the front. It should just pop out.

I tried to push it out the from the back and it didn't even budge however the 4-way flasher light came out like that.

That's what I thought. They're on both sides of the switch on the back. You should be able to pry one side a little, while pushing on the front, when the tab is out of it's groove, take your small screw driver, and pry on the otherside carefully while pushing on the front. Should just pop out. Almost all of switches are like that.

Yep i got it out that way thanks guys. I guess it just took some prying. Now all i have to do is get the freakin button to work. I replaced that led that's always on and decided to leave the light that tells that it's on or off but now that light won't come on when i press the button. Has anyone else had a problem like this? I checked if it was the light i turned it around to see if the polarity effected it but it didn't work. I'm thinking i might be putting it together wrong.
