I've used the search function, but could not find this.
Do you guys know where to buy a 97-99 billet grille? I've looked on ebay, but nothing...
### help me out.
Thanks
Francesco

I've never seen anything like that. You do mean a billet grill, like for a truck, right? I think that would just have to be something that you custom make yourself. I don't know how good it would look on an eclipse though.

You could always settle for the ricer mesh. :barf:

Better yet, get a front mount intercooler, and it would sort of look like a billet grill, but would actually do something usefull.

yes, something like that...so you think it would not look good.
I don't know, the mesh grille seems too"common" to me, but on the other hand with the billet on would seem like a truck-clipse..
I must find a solution tough..

I had one on mine. Nice fit, and a good look, IMO. I believe I got from an ebay vender named MrBillet or some such thing. It appears there are very few venders selling all the grills on ebay. Why don't you contact them directly and see if they make one for an Eclipse.

^^^ I remember seeing them on ebay as well. I wanted to buy one back in the day for my 2g N/T. The pics that they had online looked great. If you can find it again online, post back a link or the sellers name.

Okay, how about Mrgrille.com

Hi,
I'd like to get that grille too!
but 98 dollars..I dunno, isn't that a too pricey for a one piece grille:confused:? what about the quality?
Has any of you had some experience with Mr grille products?
Thanks

Okay, I can understand NA guys going for a grille just to have the FMIC look. But why the HELL are any turbo DSM guys even considering something like that?! The FMIC will actually make you go faster, rather than just being a for-looks-only part, even if it is a little bit more expensive.

I avoid doing anything solely for looks but also like performance mods that look good. A front mount intercooler may look good shiney and new, but after a while it just looks like a radiator complete with bent up fins and beetles wedged in there. I used the grille to cover it up without making it look covered up. If the occasional pseudo-tuner believes the the car has a fake intercooler, oh well...

I agree... you might as well just stick a REAL FMIC back there and just mount it with no pipes going to it...

+1. I put a flatte black grill on my SR20DET 240sx in front of the FMIC and plan on doing the same to my GSX. It helps the car fly under the radar a bit (on the road, when parked, etc), cover up FMIC blemishes, and avoid more damage to the FMIC. You can always take the grill off for car meets so you can show off just how cool, important, fast, hot, or whatever you think you are.

Eh, you might not... but some other folks that have SMICs might. It's not for everyone, but one thing that I think most all of us can agree on, is that it's one of the nicest aftermarket grill's out there for our cars.

(better then that ricey mesh you can get from Home Depot)

So for those of you who have FMIC's behind this thing, is it affecting the performance any?

Edit: Also, does anybody have this on their bumper with the black top portion cut off? I cut mine and I'm wondering will the grill even fit now?

That's my thing... I absolutely love my fmic and the way it is seen by all. At the sametime I would like to protect it while I'm just driving around, but be able to remove it on track days. So you guys recommend the "pep boys/autozone" mesh? Maybe paint it black to hide the ricey'ness a little?
