97 Gst front conversion to an Evo 8????

Hi Im wondering if it's possible to convert the front a 97 gst to an 2002 Evo front???? Please let me know if this can be possible as a simple bolt on!!

Honestly, the lines for the hood and front quarter panels of the 2g will not line up with the evo front bumper

Hahahaha I cant beleive someone actually did that. Is that a pontiac sunbird? I agree with the above comment, if you want an evo front end, buy an evo. The work alone would make it worth buying an evo.

Stop throwing around the ricer excuse of being unique and different, anything other than a stock front end on your car will probably look horrible.

Yes, but you said bolt on. It would have to be complete custom work if you want to to fit in any reasonable manner.

Ive seen a 3g with a 2gb front bumper last actually it didnt look to bad either. Thought it to be a little odd but. To each thier own.

Honestly when you start getting into front end conversions on any car.. its gonna cost a lot of money regardless of what you do. Personally I dont think the evo front end would look good on a eclipse.. but thats just my opinion. If you have the money and the time to do it.. then I say go for it. Just dont be disappointed in the end when it doesnt turn out like you wanted it.

The only conversions you can do to a DSM, is that of another DSM! Think back to your early days as a baby... remember trying to put the square block inside the hole for the sphere? It doesn't work! You can put an Avenger front end on your car! Or a sebring... might look a lil funny, but everything bolts up!

If I knew about this in high-school, I so would have kept my Sunbird! Much less expensive than actually owning a DSM.

Step 2, Use the money for a downpayment on an Evo....

The evo swap would be a little too much work than its worth, the evo is more boxy and the 2g is circular. Depending on what your doing, anything is possible.. if you was to just get the evo bumper to fit the 2g then that might be a little easier than a whole front end swap.. regardless it would look different. I for one think that the 2g headlights are the best headlights made other than the s15 headlights but do what ya wanna do man.. I DID see an eclipse on DSMtalk that had the front grill cut out like the evo 7? and it was pretty tight. Other than that this swap is completely original. As far as bolt on parts...nothing, but hey.. it would be cool to see this swap progress thread happen regardless of what everyone is saying right now..

I still highly doubt an evo bumper fitting, and looking anyway normal on a 2g...

Like I said, its one thing when you see a Civic with integra front or other cool stuff like that... but DSM's... our car's weren't made for engine swaps and/or body conversions. Unless your made of money... but if you were you wouldn't be worrying about a 2g dsm... you'd be out driving an evo, or have an Evo10 on hold when its released.
