I know this has been discussed before and I did use the search button but I still have some questions. If i mount it in the cig lighter area will it be easy to run the wiring/hoses through there? Will i save my self a lot of work by just getting an A-pillar pod? I really don't like the A-pillar look cause I'm only getting 1 gauge and i don't want to put it in my vent (on the door) anyone else w/ suggestions???
Thanks

well i think this is a good idea if you can understand what i mean. ok, you got your hole center console wit teh mph and rpm's so on, that big black sqaure like thing, well to teh far left of ittheres a little space and theres a vent rite there, i think it would look good there, i want to but i have the pillar pod so it would be a waste
just a thought

they make pods that replace the instrument cluster bezel ( i think that's what it's called), autometer makes some, and i remember mach v used to sell them aswell, not sure if they still do....
just another idea

I wasa looking into these...does any one have a good pic of it installed in the car??? I want to know how much of the factory gauges are covered. Thanks

The minimum amount of guages a turbo DSM should have is two.
Boost(30 vacuum and 30 psi) and an EGT (exhaust gas temp). The second is as vital to a turbo car as the first. Go with the gauge bezzel!

here's where mine is located...

save yourself the trouble of fabricating and trying to figure out how to mount gauges etc. just get a pillar pod.. you can get a single pod.. but i recommend just going with a triple pod to save you trouble in the future when you have to get more than 1-2 gauges.. they are IMO the easiest to view while driving and easy to install..

Do what my friend did with his turbo civic. Get the guage bezel for the dash and then put a boost guage in one of the pods and then put a small speaker in the other. It looked good.

Well I took me612's advice. I couldn't mount it on the A-pillar cause the brass adapter I bought hit the back of the pod. Right now im trying to customize a piece like 612 did. Wish me luck guys, I'll post pics tommorow.
