Ha alright, this whole valve cover issue has been answered many times before, but I'm wondering about the paint color itself.

So I know this may sound stupid to most of you, but I've been wanting to paint my valve cover.. pink. And I know they don't make pink high temp paint, that I'm aware of at least. But I do know they can powdercoat it pink, but that's a little too much money when I can do it myself for cheaper.

Does anyone know of any kind of pink(ish) paint? Or any other kind of paint that is heat resistant to 500 degrees that I could use? I'm just curious.. Thanks!

Damn, now I'm curious what a hot pink 1G or 2G would look like, overall.. or a gloss black with pink detail/accent stripes.

I just used an engine enamel primer on my valve cover.. and then normal paint, it's been fine for years..

There is a hot pink 2g that runs around where I live. Its one of the most hideous cars I have ever seen:barf:

Still curious about what it'd look like. And it can't be TOO hideous, unless it's got some ridiculous, fugly-ass bodykit or vinyls.

I guess it would be interesting to see, but then again.. I'm not the one to show off my car so I couldn't do it.
But I have a picture of what a Pink 2g Eclipse would look like, I get bored and photoshop a lot...(the original color was silver)

I've seen a pink valve cover before, I believe there's a picture of it somewhere on this site... One of the vendors was running the pink VC (I think) can't remember who though.

Pink would be different, I'd be curious to see how it turns out.

The pink VC is the same pic I linked to, two posts above yours. :)

Good effort, though.

I have personally painted and polished a Hot Bubble Gum pink valve cover... I can honestly say that I didn't like pink, but after this, I kinda fell in love with it. I will try and attach my pics, if not I will email them to you... Now, the paint wasn't considered a HIGH temp paint, but I tested it myself, heated it, freezed it, and blazed it, and it stood up to the tests. I used an adhesion promoter first, then a high temp primer, then the color coat, then the high temp high gloss clear coat. Of course I prepped it and cleaned it, did all the necessary steps, and it came out beautifully. This was almost over a year ago, and through 4 different seasons, multiple spills, it still shines like this today. It was on my buddies wifes GST. I am still learning alot though, and they enjoyed it.
