I have installed many cd players in my time but I just cant get this thing to work. I am thinking it has something to do with the security feature that this thing has? My stock cd player wasnt working until i put in the code and I am thing maybe theres something I have to disable in order to use an aftermarket cd player? Any help would be great thanks

I myself used to work at CircuitCity installing cd players and systems and such. And with all the Eclipses for the stock cd player to work you needed that 4 digit code. But an aftermarket has nothing to do with that. Is the face plate at least illuminating or do you hear it turn on inside or anything?

yeah it turns on for like a second but shuts off and it will eject cds and i can put them in and if I hit the time button it displays the time but it wont play music or anything?

So it turns on and everything? Just an idea but did you splice the wires together urself? If so did you get all your positives and negatives mixed up? I am not implyin ## dumb or anything its common to happen. Does the cd appear to play and you just don't get the sound? Are you using an external amp? What model cd player some new cd players need an external amp to provide the sound. Check ## manual to make sure your HU has an internal amp. Could be a multitude of things. Also it can't hurt to check the wiring you did I noticed when working at CC some people there would splice the wires together if we didn't carry the plug and play connections. And on some cars when you slide the cd player into place finally it's a tight fit or somethin was in the way destroying the connection.
