2G rear window tint

When tinting the rear passenger windows on the 2g, is there any way to get rid of the white outline due to the matrix?

I have found that you can "lightly" sand the matrix down. Takes a lot of time to get right, but when the tint cures, it looks a lot better than a regular tint job.

Mine were tinted over the matrix. You have to get the bubbles out from around around it though. No idea how they did it but it can be done.

This may be a stupid question but what is the matrix? the heating element?

the matrix is the dots along the edges of the windows

It's the camoflage to hide just how small the rear quarter window openings are, when looking from the outside.

Not that kind of Matrix... . I was asking if anyone knew the actual material of the dots in the windows (matrix), if it is some kind of plastic?!
