haha yeah, honda special! synthetic headlight fluid. as for the tails? i honestly would consider it if someone could show me a really really really convincing pic of panda 1ga. =]

Yeah, black out the outer lights and maybe paint the center panel white. Those 'euro' lights are fugly, man. :b At least you didn't get chrome (like a local 1Ger has), so I guess points in favor. Too bad the stripe takes them right away again.

to each there own i guess? at least its not a honda. at least i boost. at least its not automatic. haha, thanks for the opinions though! anyone got pix of the blacked out lights on a white car?

Waiting for my dad to email me pics (I'm in my dorm right now) but I can provide some pictures of my car with blacked out tails I just did. It came out really good deffinately much better looking than stock. (and euros ROFL )

Bascially, wetsand 400 grit a little rough to get off any slight scratches then ease up for a somewhat smooth finish. Whipe clean with alchohol and then spray with duplicolor lacquer paint (gloss black). Let dry and wetsand with 800 grit gently. (I skipped this step and plan to redo it) Clean off and then spray duplicolor lacquer clearcoat. Let dry, probably should wetsand again, and spray one more layer of clear. You can add more layers of clear if you want I didn't feel the need. Wetsand at 1500/2000 grit and hit it with a paint polish. A lot of the sanding isn't required but should make a huge difference in the result.

I'll post the pics as soon as I get them.

White and black go together nicely, along with a single other color if used for detailing; usually a more subtle shade than the metallic blue stripe. More colors than that and you run the risk of being visually confusing. Which is why you get an art design studio to mock up what you want after the basic safety point, and they can give opinions on how well it'll work and what will clash... or take a few design classes yourself, and get a good grounding in the theory behind the construction of a piece.

And yes... I suppose it /is/ a matter of taste. Some people have it. :D

i took art in design in high school for 4 years but none the less. it is a panda were talking about, but i dont know. im worried a gigantic black line across the ass end of my car.

wow. im going to completely agree. now, as for doing it - what kinda paint is necessary to make it shine through-able. the last thing i need is to black out my brake/tail lights haha.

That's a good example althought nightshades paint isn't needed. I just went with duplicolor lacquer gloss black and duplicolor lacquer clear.

From what I posted above:
Bascially, wetsand 400 grit a little rough to get off any slight scratches then ease up for a somewhat smooth finish. Whipe clean with alchohol (to ensure paint sticks well) and then spray with duplicolor lacquer paint (gloss black). Let dry and wetsand with 800 grit gently. (I skipped this step and plan to redo it) Clean off and then spray duplicolor lacquer clearcoat. Let dry, probably should wetsand again, and spray one more layer of clear. This should only take a few hours if done right because the paint dries pretty fast. Also remember besides when you first wetsand prior to painting, wetsanding should be done very lightly to avoid stripping off the paint you just put on or leaving scratches in it. This process sounds more complicated than it was though. I found it pretty fun.

Good luck!
