I picked up a 1995 TSi AWD a couple weeks ago and I got a chance to give her a quick bath with my DD (2006 Cobalt SS S/C). So I wanted to post up some pictures and see what you guys think.

Whats the pipe looking thing between the inlet of the filter and the MAF?

I don't think it's a 6-bolt valve cover...but it's possible I guess. I actually picked it up for $3,600!! Guy I bought it from was the only owner!!...aside from the person who leased it for a few years.

yea, but be careful about pullin the heatshield, for some reason if u put out excessive heat some cars like to bake the alternator.

Very nice pick up! Clean car too. Looks like it was taken care of! That is what is important to me when I buy used DSMs, I rather get a higher mileage DSM that was taken care of, then a lower mileage that you could tell was beat to hell.

Are these all the mods:

1g crushed bov, RRE UICP, 16G, ported exhaust manifold, Extreme DIS Air Intake, 2.5" Custom Turboback exhaust, ACT 2600, 550 injectors, 190 pump, Hallman mbc, Dejon Super Sidemount, S-AFC II, Greddy EGT, Boost Gauge, Apexi Turbo Timer

And you got it for $3600?!? Whats the mileage? Clean title. If <100k or around low 100s and its a clean title, add the clean body and engine bay, NICE DEAL!

Let's see an interior pic!! Is that an EGT gauge i see installed already??

yea, the guy had the exhaust mani tapped and installed the egt gauge already. here's an interior pic. Leather interior is in excellent shape for 12 years old. Plus power sunroof that works! PLUS power driver seat that works!!!

Yea, those are all the mods. Except the 16g is really a hybrid. It's a bigger turbine in the 16g housing. Car has 145k on the stock motor and still runs strong. Trans rebuilt 45k ago, and clutch is fairly new too. I found it for sale on NYCCDSM and couldn't pass it up. Great guy.

the heat shield helps keep heat away from other parts under the hood. the car runs fine without it though.

Yes, it will run fine, until you melt misc. wiring, radiator fans, etc... As well as the increase in under hood temperatures, thats always a plus of running without a heat shield.

My recommendation is to pick one up for cheap and polish it up so that it looks nice, and install if for the peace of mind.

Nice find on the car though. How many miles are on her?

EDIT: I just read your las post about the mileage. Nice find, and have fun with it. :)

Nice... the interior looks GREAT! In fact i'm SUPER jealous. I picked up my 95 GSX that was pretty much stock (except the bodykit, which needs fixin) for $4800, and the interior was a disaster. I already replaced the pass. airbag, but i'm still looking for some decent seats to replace the $4 racing seats that are in it. Damn, i wish i knew what i was doing when i bought this thing!

I just clay bar'ed and waxed the poop out of the talon. It looks GORGEOUS. The pictures I took don't do it justice, but here are a couple of good examples.
