Hey...I have 2 JL 10" W0's in a powerwedge that used to be in my '85 CRX and I'm trying to figure out what to do with them in my new(er) GSX. The Eclipse is completely stock, and I need some beat.

The powerwedge has a Kenwood 600W amp going to it. The stock speakers suck, so they're being replaced by Infinity 6x9's and probably Infinity 6 1/2's in the doors. I'm not sure about the 3 1/2's in the dash, yet. The deck is Alpine w/ AiNet and a 12 cd changer. All of this is yet to be installed, since I just bought the car. Later on, I plan on upgrading my deck over to a newer Alpine with a screen, installing my ps2, adding a cap (or caps) for the subs, and a better battery.

I just need some ideas on what I should do with the subs (for now ;) ), and as the need arises, I'll post more questions to get your ideas, so long as you don't charge me for your advice :)

depends what you are looking for, is the power wedge ported or sealed. if it is sealed you are set, take out the spare tire and go to town. building a custome box out of fiber glass siant all that tough if you are willing to put in the time. and have some basic tools, jig saw minimum. basicly just cover the whole area with tin-foil makd sure it is tight on every thing. start with a peice of wood cut to fit in where the bottom of the box would be. lay fiberglass matt, the chop matt stuff covered in resin on to the area where you want to make the box, your making a mold. once you get that done do it a couple of more times to make it nice and thick bout a half an inch cut out the baffel, piece of wood the speakers will mount to. brace them to the peice that you put in the bottom and fiber glass it to gether. all done that simple now you get to do the hard stuff, makign it look nice. I did it in my 2g with two 15's and lost abotu 2" of trunk depth thats it. if you want to know more or have any questions e-mail me and I'll send some pics of how I built my fist one I am still building the second one.
later
