What size Fuse for +Battery to AMP.

My dads suburban burned in november and after it was all said and done I took his subs, speakers and amps out of the back. The wiring, including the Fuse and holder burned. I need to know what size fuses are run in those inline holders. The Amp is a sound storm 750 watt amp if that matters. Thanks

I normally have a 30w inline fuse between my battery and amp, but I have used a 40w before. And my system has ranged from a 300w to a 600w and even to a 1400w amp.
