Would it be possible to bolt on a new radiator support, I know it needs to be spot welded(i think that's what it's called) but would it be possible to drill some holes and bolt that sucker on?
Car was hit and run and the left side of support is bent in.
Maybe it can be pulled out?

Anyone? Reason I ask is, car is immobile and i don't have any welding buddies :(

Im getting this done as we speak. For stablity reasons I would just bite the bullet and take it to a shop to get put on, or even pulled. Post up some pics, but dont drill and bolt.

Well I can't get it to a shop due to the immobility, can't mount the front end either. I was wondering if I could drill and bolt and as soon as i get her running get a couple of spot welds aswell?
Would you advise getting the support pulled? I heard it'll cause problems down the line..

I redone a eclipse last summer and I bolted the the radiator support on and everything is lined up fairly well however when you use bolts make sure that they are not too long or your bumper brackets will not fit back into the frame other than that I dont see any poblems.

You can bolt it on until you feel like getting it welded. if your frame rails arent bent it shouldnt be hard to do at all.

I hope that helps

Your local towing company could still get it to a shop if it's that bad that you can't drive it. Even with a mangled front end you can still get it up on a flatbed, I've pulled alot worse than hit and run cars around that way.(have a couple examples but will not let me upload)

Well its immobile not because of the accident, but because of current mods done to the car, but while i'm at it, I'd like to fix the radiator support. I'll post pictures of the damage but basically as the below picture shows. The circled area got sandwiched a little, inch or 2, and the headlight wont sit properly, and the fender goes in an extra 1/2" so the hood overlaps the fender.

Thank you for the reply, helps alot actually. Do I have to drill my own holes? Or are there already some to bolt onto?

Im not sure about fixing the radiator support but I just replaced mine there was not a prayer of fixing mines. A picture will be a big help when you get it up.
THIS MAY HELP WITH THE HOOD PROB.
Have you tried to pull the fender back away from the hood. get some extra hands and remove the bolts from the top of the fender and pull back on the fender until the holes start to dissapear then get your extra set of hands to run the bolts down.
HOLE DRILLING
You will have to drill 2 holes diagonally from each other in the top of the frame rails and the radiator support mounting space. You can use washers to cover more surface area also
REPAIRING THE RADIATOR SUPPORT
Have you ever heard of a Come-A-Long? its a like a hand driven winch that you tie around something and pull things with. I dont believe that they are too expensive. That will be a big help when trying to pull things.

ALL IN ALL ITS A TRIAL AND ERROR THING

I know some of that info should help
