Hey, I know there are many threads around here about how to properly polish rims but to be honest, after an hour and a half of searching I am right back where I started. Can someone either let me know the proper steps to polish a stock rim, or link me to the thread that has directions on how to do this. Thanks in advance.

it doesn't really matter what you polish, but the steps are usually starting in a low (rough) grit sand sand paper and working your way up to wet sanding with high grit in the 1000's. orbital sanders come in handy, but polishing usually takes a very long time and lots of elbow grease to do properly. oh and don't forget to polish often after you're done.

Yeah thats what I thought, but I remembered some people saying not to use sandpaper but steel wool instead? Any insight on that topic?
