Hey all, can anyone help me with some good guidelines of applying window tint on the driver and passenger windows? Any help would be great!

Clean the windows really good first, use a razor blade. Pre-cut the pieces of tint to fit the windows. Use a squirt bottle with soapy water to wet the windows. Apply the tint. Use a squeegee to get the bubbles and excess water out. Use a credit card to get the smaller bubbles out. Let it dry for atleast a week before you put the windows down. Month before you clean them and never use a cleaner with ammonia in it. The warm sun will help it to dry and get the bubbles out completley. Good luck!

Your best bet is just to pay to have it done...
If you are doing it for your first time you will probely spend just as much.
Dont take this the wrong waay I am not saying you can;t do it I am just saying save the time and hassle........BUT
if you do want to I would use (baby shampoo) for your soapy water....

i used to tint windows and detail full time. i can tell you now, its definatly worth paying the money and having it done. one small f*ck up, and your back to where you started at. its a real pain in the ass to get right. plus, if your local tint shops are like the ones here, they back up their work just in case in peels for no reason or something. if your not used to doing it, i wouldnt try doing it on a window like that anyway. curved windows require alot more work and attention than a flat one. most of the time you'll need a heat gun or hair dryer to heat everything up so it will lay down. i would definatly pay someone..just my 2 cents..

What should I do to tint the back windows? Not the back glass, but the windows by the back seats. Those ones are very difficult. And I'm getting the tint for free, and I have nothing better to do with my time. So I'm just gonna give it a shot.

Someone who is giving me a hook up, who is supposivley one of the best window tinters around here, said that it would be very hard to tint my car (a 2G dsm) and he said that the back window would have to be done in 3 peices. Do you guys agree with this, or should I take it elsewhere and find someone who will do it in one peice?

BTW, I'm getting 20% tint done across 5 windows (not including the windshield).
