Polished lip scratched how to fix?

Well i was removing the paint form my gst wheels (for paint)and the sandpaper slipped and left some noticable scratchs in the lip of my gst wheels which I was to polish (black wheels with black lip) they arent to deep but they are there and its the lip so it wont be painted over it will be polished. How do I make it smooth again w/o the scratches? Thanks

High grit sandpaper and some polishing compound. I'd personally just try the polishing compound first.

well did it go through the paint.... if it did would be cheaper to take it to a shop instead of doing it and screwing it up yourself... if not u would have to do a few different grit sandpapers..

As I stated above I was REMOVING paint so prob not


I'll use a polihing compound
