carbon fiber hood help...

i have a carbon fiber hood and it has dull dry kind of white spots. i was told that you have to condition those hoods. what can i use to bring the shine back to it and keep it looking good?

What we do at our shop is sand it down with 2400 or 3000 grit sand paper and respray with a UV-resistant clear coat. Keeps it lasting longer. Also we recommend waxing the hood with carnuba wax every other month during non-summer months and monthly during summer months.

Any idea if the hoods from VIS are pre-sprayed with a UV-REsistant clear coat?

Mine was. I believe they now do on most CF hoods...well anyway, most reputable companies like VIS, JSP and the such.
