I am still trying to figure out why people change their stock tails. I only painted the center because it serves no purpose. Other than that I wouldn't replace the right and left tails.

im420haha it is a matter of preference like any mod. People mod cars IMO because they want to be unique and like no one else out there. If you have no hard core desire to want to be artistic or unique you won't understand this type of modification. To each his own.

I remember when I was college in automobile design studio and I met and know some of the Chrysler designers who helped to bring about the 2nd generation Eclipse. They tried many different taillight designs and the camaro design is close to one that they almost picked before their last styling clinic. A styling clinic is where they invite certain previous generation owners to see mock-ups of the new to be released model. Anyway it is funny you show this picture because the original taillights almost looked like this:laugh:

I like the uniqueness of the taillights. You have to have a desire to want to be different otherwise any ricer mod is just not desireable. I am not an automobile designer, but I might as well be with all of my training and internships. I understand the publics want and desire to be unique and different. I also understand different individuals liking of what the factory has offered. I can see both sides of the equation.

Out of all the generations of Camaros, I still find the fourth-gen's the ugliest. Something bout' them just don't click right. I mean, the third-gens have a muscle look(although somewhat dated), but the newer ones. Looks too much like a wedge of cheese. & I hate the tail-lights. No way I'd put them on mine. But if someone likes it, whatevar. Ya know, whatevar floats ya cookie!

I've got 5 bucks saying that is actually a plastic model.I mean c'mon look at it!! The body is all sorts of screwed up and warped.And the actualy 4th gen Camaro tails arent that tall.And the bumper itself just looks like a model.Anyone agree??? I think if done right,Camaro tails might not look that bad on a 2G.Maybe smoked lenses with a carbon fiber or smoked lense bezel in between on a black 2G.That might look good.
