after searching fxdesigns.com it says that the combat kit sides and rear are different. well im not worried about the sides because i know i just have to take off the factory side pieces. the back is my question how is it different that it wont fit an awd? cant i do some cutting of the awd bumper to make it fit? i mean i already got the front piece installed and its supposed to fit great but i had to do some cutting and welding to it.
thans in advance for any help!

ok my bad it says just the tsi it dont fit but i still dont understand what can be so different? anyone?

I can't think of a reson except maybe that the awd have the gas tanks in the rear

ummm even if so with the gas tanks wouldnt awd tsi and gsx be the same? and i think all gas tanks no matter what model are in the same place?
???????? anybody?????

I know that the FWD tank is in the middle of the car.. pretty much where where your a$$ goes when sitting in the back seat. I *thought* that the AWD was the same, just split on either side of the DS.

but does this have ne thing to do with bumoer differences with a tsi and the other models? thats what i wanna know cause im tryin to put a body kit on and this one says the back piece will fit anything but the tsi's??

I would think that it only has to do with mounting brackets. The trunk is different in the AWD. I don't see why you wouldn't be able to do it, it might just need a bracket or 2 fabbed up.

There is someone here that just bought an AWD duplicate of his FWD. Check out in the hangout section. He will be able to have a look and tell you if they are interchangable.
