So i have a 99 gsx as you know, and i currently have 18" enkeis. I want to lower it with eibach sport springs. And then replace the shocks/struts.

I plan on driving the car daily, and taking it to the track a couple times this summer. Knowing this, would you guys prefer going Coil overs or springs? and would you recommend getting a camber kit?

I wouldnt recommend coil overs the ride is crap. Get some Koni's (yellow) if you have the money. You only need a camber kit if you buy the eibach sport kit. If i were you id get the prokit instead the sportline kit is too much of a drop and you'll have to spend more money for a camber kit.

yeah i was planning on Koni yellows. Then i was planning on the sport line springs.. you say pro kit though because the drop wouldnt be as much?

damn its still so hard to choose even after looking at pictures. I mean i want a ride that looks really nice, and i will be purchasing Koni Yellows to help the sport line springs make it a nicer ride, but im not gonna do autocrossing or anything. Its mainly to cruise the strip, and run at the track a few times. Not so much as handling and stuff.... im thinking sportline

By looking at your profile you don't even have suspension work done. I have had the Eibach Sportline kit and I now have Tein coilovers. Of course I love my coilovers waaaay better then my Sportlines for reason that extend beyond just ride quality.
I can't comment on the Koni's because I haven't used them, but I've heard good things about them.

Did you have upgraded shocks to though? with your sport line springs? Im kinda going more for looks here... but am not sure i want to spend that kinda money on coilovers

i am thinking tein super street coilovers as well. Does $950.00 sound like a good deal on those? Someone know exactly how coilovers work?

Me and my buddies have this setup for all our cars...

Tokico Alumina Shocks (white) and Eibach 2 1/4" drop lowering springs with adjustable front/read camber kit. Very nice looking and comfortable ride height :)

You better get that camber kit otherwise your tires will wear out unevenly and thus more quickly. Also your car will feel more in control with proper camber, trust me!

I have Sprint lowering spring it's a 2inch drop but I would have to say they are about the best springs I have ever owned with useing the stock struts.

If your going with Sportlines, I'd definately upgrade your shocks. I have Eibach Sportlines and the ride is very bumpy/bouncey, that's if your really worried about ride quality, because it will get on your nerves :toobad: ....eventually
