1G dashboard peeling

every one that owns a first gen i'm sure has had this problem when the dash starts to peal in the corners. a common place is above the glove box. My question is what do you you use to glue that back together?

Mine isnt peeling, but like, on the ddrivers side, closest to the window, it like shrunk and kind of came out of the seem i guess, not sure how to fix it though.

i have the same problem turboblue, i don't thnk you can fix it unless you get it replaced. kandt i was try super glue or something of the sort, other then that i would say you would have to do like me, replace the whole dash.

My dash was peeling just like yours. I pulled the dash out and used contact cement and woodworking clamps to hold it until it had time to set properly.

Now, This isn't a perfect fix. I'm still looking for a dash to replace the one in my car. The contact cement held it down well and still is. The problem is, the dash pad not only peeled, it shrunk. So it wouldn't fit fit completely back around the metal.

So I guess what Im saying is that its a good temporary fix. To make the dash more presentable until you get around to replacing it.
