I know that there are many posts about this, but this one it's like more specific, on what I'm looking for. I'm looking for an alarm from Ebay, with 2 way LCD screen that shows what's going on with the car, either the door had been opened or somebody hit it etc. As the proce range, it's beetween $80-$150. I just want to get the one that would be my best bet. Right now, I'm looking at this

Need you opinions, facts and so on. Thanks a lot for any help.

I'm probably not a good advocate for alarms. Usually when the car has been sold 2 or 3 times, the original packaging and phone numbers etc all come up missing.

Then there's a weird electrical problem or no start and more often than not, it can be traced back to the alarm system to which no paperwork exists. I then usually have to completely remove the otherwise good alarm system.

Just a thought.

i dont think that you will find a good reliable alarms system that has a 2way lcd pager for that price... for a reliable alarm with an lcd and a good brand name, you should expect to pay atleast $300 in my opinion, and is not something you should skimp out on. but hey....thats just me!:dsm:

I highly recommend the Code Alarm brand. I've bought them for every car I've owned from Derrick at autoalarmpro.com. I've installed 5 of them through the years and I have never had a problem except shipping damage once and Derrick took care of that quickly.

These guys "prep" the alarm for the vehicle you have. The program it and also send a nice data sheet for all the connection points.

Don't go cheap or you will regret it and your neighbors will HATE you too.

I like the CompuStar 2way. I've had one installed in my Eclipse even before I owned it and it works great except the fact that they did not bypass the factory alarm system which I still have to do. It'll be out of your price range though.

I don't know then what to buy. As Old Mitsu Tech said, "otherwise a good alarm." I guess, I will go with that one, since nobody else gave me a specific responses. I wish, I could afford a CompuStar, they cost only about $200 on ebay, but I'm a little short. So, I don't know, I will go with the alarm that I meantioned before and then give you a review on it, like is it allright, or no. I guess, I will do just that.

Well like I said before you get what you pay for, not only that but the install is always critical of how good your system will actually function. :thumb:

Ok, I get. One of my friends, hopefully, he will help me install it. He had done it, and I will just learn from him, that's all. So, yeah, that's my plans. Hope somebody of you appreciates on what I'm about to do.
