Stock Tach

OK, I am asking this for my friend. He has a 96 rs and there is no tach in it. How hard would it be to get one and install it where it is suposed to be in the dash. He wants it to look like it is factory. Thanks for the info. JB

did it not come with one or is it just missing? if it is just missing then you should be able to get the tach gauge and needle from any mitsu dealer. if it didn't come with one then i'm thinking junkyard...but then again, i don't know what kind of wiring you will run into. good luck

its very easy to hook up a tach to a 420, all you need to do is read the www.vfaq.com on it

Yeah right there where there should be a tach it is blank, I mean there is a spot for it, but it is just not there. I looked in the vfaq, but didn't see anything. I might be blind though, that happens alot. I will look in there again when I have more time. Thanks for the info, JB

You can get in there and custom mount a tach where that blank spot is. I've seen it done.

OK, is it possible to just get the factory one put on in the place of where it is blank. I mean that there is a circle there where the tach is on mine but on his it is a black circle. Thanks for the info guys, JB

just look on ebay or a junk yard and get the gauge cluster w/ a tach and install it.

Or if you HAVE TO get an aftermarket tach
(not gonna look factory)
