gauge hose

i am installing my autometer phantom gauge today. it came with a 1/8'' nylon hose. is this good to use? i have searched and i found one post where airpopoff said he was using 1/4'' hose. does this mean the 1/4 is anymore accurate than the 1/8th is? it came wit all the fittings, but i need a T to tap into the hose with so i have to goto the store anyways, should i go ahead and use 1/4'' stuff?
