does anyone know where to find a pair of these for the 2Gb rear bumper (97-99)? i have looked all over the place and cant find them anywhere. im not even sure that there is a company that makes them. just seems like there would be though. i have seen these on a car before just dont remember where. if anyone could point me in the correct direction i would appreciate it.

btw, i have searched ebay.

Just looking for a bit more information. With furhter clarification I think we may be able to help.

First, how are these different from the USDM ones currently found on our cars? Also, are we talking about the round lenses actually used as our reverse lights, or possibly a small rectangular unit which I've seen mounted (in pictures only) located just below some of the EDM eclipses?

Curious to know what exactly you are referencing... Hope this helps some.

Thanks,

I'd say he is referring to the actual reverse lights which are found on the cars.
The smaller rectangles below the cars are aftermarket reverse lights, used for cars which do not have reverse lights. "So why use them on an Eclipse because it has reverse lights ?" Answer to that question is a bit complicated...Over here in Europe, cars must have yellow or amber turning signals in the back, red ones are not allowed. So usually, imported cars ( from the USDM ) are being modified as to use the stock reverse lights as turning signals. So they need an additinal light for the reverse lighting.

But anyway, the stock reverse lights are the exact same lenses as we have over here, no difference at all. I think he is looking for clear oder diamond-cut reverse light lenses, though I don't know if there is such a thing.

exactly what im looking for. i thought i explained in the first post what i was looking for. 2gb rear reverse lights. just like the oem ones but in a euro clear or diamond clear. i dont think there is such a thing i was just curious.

I've heard of people actually using Walmart fog lights as reverse lights.

Um there are some that will fit with very very little modification. If you use the ones from a newer stratus I believe they will work. it's gotta be off a 2 door though Good Luck :D

I have looked for these and found nothing as well. With all the aftermarket parts for our cars, you'd think someone would make a set of these already...like a hardtop for a spyder.

Only thing I can think of is either polishing the oem ones till they're clear,or fabricate your own cover lens from acrylic sheet and seal it up real good.

The stock ones are quite clear. They just don't retain their clarity well.

A lil polish/wax and vigurous rubbing seems to brightin them up. I do it once a year or so.. and look near new....
