Need a guinea pig 1st gen from So Cali

Anyone from the Southern California area with a 1st gen (preferably the 1Gb) willing to get a free body kit, which I am in the process of making, please PM me. The car will be needed regularly (in about 2-3 day increments every week or so for molding/test fitting for about 2-3 months). It is perferable that it not be your daily driver since the car will be down during those days. The kit will be installed, fully painted in return for allowing me use of the car. It is a fairly secretive project so I wil not be posting pictures of it on the forums, nor will I mention what the design is until it is ready for production.

I can assure you that the kit wil be clean, and have a factory-like appearance (to those unfamiliar with DSM's) in the vein of mitsubishi's designs, and will appeal to those who would otherwise have kept their 1st gens stock. The kit will incorporate the use of foglights (standard, driving size, not the big rally ones) as well as allow room for a a front mount intercooler. Somehow, I don't think a 1gb body kit is going to work with your 2g.

Hmm. Might have some downtime for upgrades soon anyway, and the front bumper *is* cracked to seperation on the driver's side... ah well, maybe us pop-up fans'll get a kit that doesn't look like F&F ass.

I guarantee you guys it won't look like "F&F Ass". Although it may not suit everyone's taste, I have a strong belief that at least 50% of the 1st gen owners will find it a product they may buy (which is a large number), and less than 5% will find it unattractive..

My estimate is approximately 1 1/2 - 2 1/2 months.

I completely agree, there aren't very good selections for the 1G, which I was very angry about while I had my 1G. Which is why I'm setting out to do something about it.
