there has to be a way to roll back the miles....alot of people do it...well some illegally...its considered illegal if you roll back the miles and try to sell the car saying thats how many miles it has...but its a totally different story (atleast i think it is) if you roll them back to the exact miles you car has on it....i think if you just open up the gauge cluster and actually "roll" the numbers back it will work but im not sure about that...i need a new gauge cluster too..where did you get yours? im wanting to do experiments on a new gauge cluster...

I got my extra gauge cluster out of my parts car, I was sanding the orange paint off the tachometer today and I think the needle broke b/c it has a lil bit of play in it now. oh well...... as for the pocketlogger i am wondering what kind of info it gives ya? thanks for the replies though

i got a free Palm IIIc that i first used when i got my pocketlogger setup. later on i got a Palm M505, which is a color screen and has a couple more options, and a way faster processer(well, for that time in technology era). it was alot quicker in thinking about starting and stopping a log, as the IIIc liked to freeze up.

pocketlogger can read things like RPM, Timing, O2 Volts, airflow, and lots of other things. it can read almost anything the ecu does. its major downfall is its slow data rate. you basically will only log rpm, timing and o2 volts during a run, cause that is the most important(well, the most important a pocketlogger can read). the more you try to log at once, the slower the transfer rate, meaning you might only have a few data points per second. logging just o2 volts, timing and rpm my data rates were about 9 samples per second, which devided by 3 things i was logging, meant each second i only had 3 data points per whatever i was logging, which is alright for beginner tuning.

search ebay for palm iiic or m505, and you should have no problem finding shitloads of them.

I have a Palm Pilot M100 coming should be here monday or Tuesday.
