Antenna Replacement

YES, I DID SEARCH but couldn't find what I was looking for. I have a 96 GST and the antenna doesn't work. I am just going to replace it with a S2000 Antenna. I know I have to take out the whole power antenna assembly to install the S2000 one.

What else do I need to install it besides the antenna itself?

Anyone know of any tricks to make it easier?

I'm a complete dummy when it comes to this kind of stuff.

Yeah, I noticed that. But Defiant helps hundreds of people out every week. I'm sure he just missed the S2000 antenna part.

I'm in the same boat. My power antenna got bent and I REALLY do not want to replace the antenna mast with another stock one just to accidentally bend it again later. Someone must have tried different antennas. I'd like to just use the stock antenna hole in the fender. Matching the curve in the fender seems to be the biggest hurdle.

If there aren't any good replacement options, I would consider filling the stock hole and using a amplified antenna that hides in the car.

what is you antenna doing? nothing or is the mast stripped, if thats the case just replace that, save alot of time and effort. otherwise why would you wanna use another cars part, just get one designed for our cars...
