Removing centerpiece

How do you remove the centerpiece between the taillights on a 2G eclipse. I need to get my bumper painted, so I'll get that painted while i'm at it.

Open the trunk and remove the plastic covers around the sides, then simply loosen the nuts ( I think there are 9 or so) holding the centerpeice in. Careful not to tighten them too much when you put it back on, or it will crack the centerpeice.

they will be 8mm or 10mm, never 9
its kinda weird how that works

i think he meant 9 screws not 9 mm

thanx people, oh and It was (7) 10mm nuts then it slides right out
