there is also something else that people use to get the yellow off the headlights, i cant remember whats its called, i have some in the garage ill have to look later and post it up.

Supposedly twice as bright. On the car's I've seen them on, they look pretty close to HID. I'll post pics once I get them in.

Those type of bulbs might look bright but they won't give very much light output at all. There is too much coloring on the glass to give nice output and the beam pattern will just be scattered. The silverstars might be yellower per say but will definitely be brighter than them.

Polarg headlights have no negative effect on the beam pattern. The coloring on the glass produces the cleanest looking light I've seen. Difficult to tell that these headlights are not HID. Why spend $450 on a conversion when you can save $370 and get Polarg's with the same result? Will post pics soon.

There is NO way to get real HID quality from a bulb which is rated same as the stock bulbs. Those things, just like Silverstars (which are awesome) may LOOK like they are HID the light output will not be anywehre close. If you want the look of hid just to show off i am sure those bulbs are great.

Where are the pics? I want to see how these bulbs light output look. I mean, they better be damn good for 80 bucks. That's twice as much as Silverstars.

They're bullshit, and won't put out as much light as Silverstars will.
Exactly, enough said, there's no way there worth the money, they may look like HID's to some but the light output won't even be close to the silver stars, let alone real HID's

I highly doubt that they can be better than silver stars. Silver stars are excellent, I did not believe what I thought was the hype about silver stars, but now that I have them I know for a fact that silver stars are the best bulbs you can get besides retrofits.

I had Silverstars previously and still have them for high beams. I was shocked at the difference after installing Polargs, and the hollow effect that these lights create is sweet. IMO Silverstars are crap next to Polargs, just like stock bulbs are crap next to Silverstars.

Polargs do not produce more light output than yellowstars, and if that is all you care about, then save your money. Personally, I prefer a pure white light over a bright yellow light. If you want the look of HID, I say Polargs are worth the money. Hang on for the pics, waiting for decent weather. I will have them up this week.

Here's a pic for now of an inspiration I had to get Polargs - GS400 with an HID kit next to Polargs. Matches well. I'll shoot some of my own after work this weekend.

anyone ever compare the PIAA's to the SilverStars to the Polargs?

i've PIAAs in my car and i really like them. nice white light and seems to be bright enough. would like to try the silverstars if these ever go out. granted, they have a lifetime warranty (the PIAAs) but wouldn't mind trying the silverstars if i keep the car long enough to replace the bulbs

i found these on ebay for $60 shipped.... so save 20 bucks if your going to buy them. i think ill just chill out until the pics start coming in. a bit too expensive for me to do an experiment with.

i agree, i tend to stay away from those that cannot spell their own product name. that's just not right. it's like saying telling you guys i drive a Plymoth Lazer, you wouldn't give me much credit.

If they've got that far without noticing, what other things have they overlooked?

$80 for a set of those headlights. F that. I got my PIAA super whites in 99 and they are still going strong. And I got them for $75bucks
