Hello, I am putting a new stereo in my car. McDonald's has no one right now and is hiring at $10/hour to start. I will be working full time, so in about a month and a half I will have the money for the stereo I just priced. First I will tell you what I have now, then what I am upgrading to.

Current:

I am getting this all for $1841.7 (Including shipping)

I will have trouble getting it all to fit, each sub wants a minimum of 3L of airspace in a ported box.

Tell me what you all think ;)

Edit: Updated a few things.

Edit: I need some enclosure ideas, remember it is an AWD so the trunk isn't as deep as the FWD models.

Thank you,
Anthony

don't count your chickens before they hatch. that's probably $10 for managers, not lower level employees. prepare to get $5.25/hr

Taco Bell down the street starts at 9.50. Doesn't mean much when you can't buy a damn house for less than 250k nowadays.

Yes they are really starting at $10/hour. Anyways, what about the system?

Thanks,
Anthony

I have a 1991 Plymouth Sundance RS that was stolen. When I got it back, the stereo was gone out of it. I plan on putting what I have now in it.

What do you all think of the Jvc KD-AVX1? It seems pretty cool to me, I can get it for $425 :)

Where I will be working has nothing to do with the stereo system. What do you all think? I made a few changes to it.

Thank you,
Anthony

do you plan on installing any tv's in your car? the jvc deck might be a little over the top if all your going to have in the car is amps and subs. pretty much any system you put in a hatch will sound great, just make sure you get a good box or a good enclosure for the subs

Yeah, I am eventually putting other tv's in there also, I think that JVC deck is a good starting point. :) The main thing I am worried about is getting those 15s to fit. I have searched and searched, and am still searching on other forums. Trying to find someone who has done dual 15" solos. I want it to be LOUD so I am hoping for it to be ported.. I don't think there is enough room though. What do you all think?

why pay that much for a cd player with a small ass screen.. use what yourgoing to pay for that and buy something with better sound quality.

why do you want 15's? so everyone else a mile away hears it but youonly hear the low low notes.. go with 12s or 10s.

I have one orion H2 12 with 1,000 watts comming from a old soundstream 1000sx and trust me its more than enough.

Because I like it. From what I have read it has awesome sound quality. I can always add more screens later.

They are loud, deep, and obnoxious. That is what I am going for. WTF

I plan on entering SPL comps every once and awhile, plus I want a little show with my go ;) Yeah I know they will weigh down my car, make it slower. Oh well, I'll just add more power later to make up for it ;)

My last system was 4 rf power dvc 10's with a old school power 1000 i got it up to 152.3 DB. this one 12 isn't as loud but it does hurt your ears really bad when its turned up

The 12 i have is a high end sub the box was made to spec by orion. it would set the record in its class in VA but they said since my rear seat was out it didn't count.. Garbage!!

bad part is this one 12's box is allmost as big as a bandpass box for 2 12's but it hits so hard it hurts

Kicker speakers are awful. I had em before, they were terrible. I replaced them with some Eclipse's and they're great.

Alright, I'll check out some other companys for the 6x9s and the component set :) :thumb:

As for 6X9's go with Infinity Reference Series 3 way speakers..model 9603i (300W 100RMS)..On ebay for $63 brand new...I have them and to me they are the best bang for your buck and I've tried a bunch of different brands. :thumb: :thumb:
