Just DO NOT ship fiberglass! I just ordered F-1 style fenders and they arrived cracked. The shipper was no help with the loss/damage claim and I was forced to handle the whole thing myself. In the end the parcel service denied the claim stating that I did not have any written authorization from the shipper. All this knowing that it is usually the shipper that handles the claim. I'm sure I could fill in the cracks with some fiberglass rosin and the damage wouldn't be seen over the sideskirts, but it's the principal in play here. RIP-OFF!! Has anyone else had this kind of trouble shipping exterior parts? :barf:

Unless packaged right, exterior parts such as fenders are really hard to ship. Sorry to hear your trouble with the fenders, good luck fixing them, since they are fiberglass it shouldnt be too much work. But with shipping something like that, always run the risk of breaking stuff

ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS Inspect the package BEFORE the delivery person leaves!!! it is ALWAYS a deal with the parcel service. You have them return the product as "damaged upon arrival"

Happened to me a few months back with a CF hood for a co-worker i had to recieve and inspect. the delivery lady was a b*tch too, like she was in a huge hurry to leave, and didn't have time for me to inspect it. she probably new the corners would be broke, and wanted to leave. i MADE her stay, becuase i knew once she was gone, there was no recourse for the damaged hood. she was pissed, but had to take the hood back cuz the corners were all chipped. Yeah, had she left and then i noticed the damage, it would have been HELL to get the problem resolved.

so just a lesson, for anything worthwhile, ALWAYS inspect BEFORE delivery person leaves.

as for your fenders, i hope you get it resolved or have good luck fixing the fiberglass.

best of luck!

I completely agree, but sometimes you're not there when they drop off the parts.

O.K. now I know what the problem is. This is being talked about all over these forums. I think It's Ebay. Every time I look on Ebay I notice that there is serious quality dicrepencies in most of their products. I'm pretty sure that if the actual product is as-such any vendors of the prduct are probably not so great either. This would explain why the shipper wasn't much help. :toobad: :barf: :notgood:
