need help 91eclipse damaged

i am 16 and going to get my first car and i want an eclipse and this guy i know is selling a 91 gs with 90k miles for 400$ the only problem is.... is that the right quarter panel is messed up and the frame is a little messed up..... my dad says i can get it as long as my cousin (he works for the best body/collision shop around here) says its fixible and worth the money to fix...... the money really isnt the problem cuz he owes us some "favors" and my dad is on the "in" down at the body shop so fixin wouldnt be a big price

My questions for u dsm tuner members is if i get a new quarter panel can it be easily removed and replaced and just have the body shop fix the frame and repaint it

my dad is a professional welder so if it needs to be welded it aint a big deal

I would just save my money and get a running 1g turbo eclipse or talon for like 1600, but thats just me. Frame damage has always kind of freaked me out a little...

Rear quarter panel is by far not an easy fix. You have to have a panel cut out of another car, then have yours cut out at the same spot. After that, the new peice must be welded in place. In most cases, an insurance company will total our cars when they get damage to the rear panel because of the cost to replace them. And with frame damage its definitly not worth it. I paid 400 for cars that were street ready and no damage. Id look around some more
