: Alright, so like a lot of people around here, im sick of the altezzas, and im goin back to stock. So i was thinking of playin around with these things a little. I know people have color matched their headlights, so i was wondering, has anyone ever color matched their altezzas, and left the red circles; and if so, are there any pics of it? Also, I've seen a few people light up their stock center peice, either completely, or have it say eclipse or something, just wonderin how to do it. I looked on 2gnt, theres a thread for it, but i dont want to be able to see the bulbs thru the plastic, but maybe thats where painting the center peice comes into play?....

to paint the altzs' you have to remove the outter cover just like a stock peice.
I owuld trust a hot bath over an oven on 150$ new parts.

The center piece thing I am not all sure about. But removal of the outter cover I am sure is envolved. i would say, removal of the outter, and simple paint would do the trick.

I did mine in a oven. Set the ovan at 350 put the lights on a cookie sheet and stand there and wait like a few mins and pry the lense from the houseing but be care full because you can break the lense and strech the plastic on housing. I actually just took mine off and made a new fiberglass taillight set up. Still working on it tho. :thumb:

I actually used the clear plastic cover from the alteza center, and carefully masked off the letters. I masked and painted both the inside and outside to eliminate the possibilities of scratches. Then I got some transparent red tape and put that down on the inside over the letters. I mounted a string of lightbulbs over the stock piece, then glued the painted cover on top. I clearcoated the outside for a seamless look. Hope I gave you a few ideas, just be creative.
