Well I just got subs in my 2g Talon. I have no dynomat in the car yet at all. But right now when the sub is hitting it rattles the hatch. I was wondering if anyone else had this problem at all. I was thinking about putting dynomat between the metal and the plastic covers on the inside around the outside of the hatch. Please help me cuz i hate rattles. Thanks alot.

your best bet will probably be just to go around and tighten all the bolts you can find... i also found that putting a rubber washing on the bolts helps majorly but i wouldnt put that on major parts that need to hold. other than that u can change the hatch lock position so that it closes really tight. other than that... dyno it

Go get some Great Stuff Expanding foam and spray it behind the panels, it will keep them from rattling as much and help keep road noise out aswell.

I have found that generally... the parts that rattle are the rear hatch plastic coverings.
They are held in with cheapo metal push clips. Take off all the panels, get a small roll of adhesive backed rubber or foam and put it in patches in between these clips... it will keep the metal clip in tighter when you push the panels back in place. since the foam will push back at the panel and keep it from rattling.

And if you have the wiper, that could be rattling bad too...although there's not a lot you can do about that other taking it off completely.

Thanks for your help. My question now is this. When my car is hitting real hard and i am standing outside the car listening it rattles alot. WHen i push alot of my weight on the hatch, not the wing, the rattling goes very dull and u cant hear it much at all. This tells me that the hatch is what is rattling. It is hard to explain. Where do you guys want me to put the foam? I tried looking for a picture of a 2g hatch but i could not find any. I will try to explain it the best that i can. When you lift up your hatch if u notice that metal i guess is what you call it on the sides of the hatch. When the hatch is closed the sides touch the other metal on the car. Is it possible to put foam on the metal on the car, so that when you close the hatch the metal will rest on top of the foam which will rest on top of the other metal creating a barrier so that the 2 metals will not touch. Tried to explain it the best that i could. But do you guys think that its possible to put foam in between where i explained. If anyone has a pic of the back end of a 2g or a 1g it doesnt matter opened that would be great because then i coudl point it out. Thanks alot.

WHere the red is marked is where I was wondering if you would be able to put foam at to prevent rattle. Would that work do you think?
