dartmouth,
Ive read over posts on painting interior and went with some paints you guys recommend which seemed to work great, but just to be safe i want to put some clear coat over it. But do i need to use any particular clear coat, i was going to buy some today but it said on the can that it only sticks to some plastics. any brands you guys can recommend.

i cant remember exactly which brand i used...i know it said on there truck/suv clear coat....it had a picture of a truck and suv on it :p and i got it at autozone for like 4 dollars...i just used that one...it worked great...make sure you put like 3 coats on it...well i did...you might not have to put so much on it...but more doesnt really hurt

i just checked my local walmart and the only thing i could find in the auto section was some kind of bedliner coating for trucks. i didnt even see any clear coat of any kind. Do you think regular stuff from hardware dept. would work.

im not exactly sure about that one....go to autozone and look around there..they should have some clear coat there.

The only stuff I could find was "Clear Spray Paint". Does anyone know if that is the same thing as "Clear Coat"?

if the paint bases match it will work nearly the same but if you use enamel over like non-enamel it will peel as soon as you start spraying the best thing is to find some real clear-coat i have never tried clear spray paint it might work but i would test it on something else first.

Do yourself a favor and use a real automotive clear coat....Not a clear coat from a spray can. If you use that stuff it will just end up fading in the future and you will have to repaint it again.

Maybe i just had a bad batch of clear or something but I have done it both ways and to me personally the true automotive clear from a gun looks better.
