Just though I would show off my new sub setup, Im waiting on carpet right now but before long it will be covered with mirrors next to the Cap. I also got bored one day and tired of my headliner because the guy I bought the car from was a smoker so it was nasty anyways.

Do you haVE pics of the opposite side of that headliner? Im interested in how you did it.

personally I would cover the cap or at least enclose it front and rear and use a round edged smoked plexi insert recessed into a wood trim piece across the top... It would add a lot of "smoothness"/continuity to the box structure.

the other thing I would do would be to fabricate some type of trim to tie the amp back into the box, or to the floor (simple 1/8" would suffice), as well as some "floor" trim pieces

Lastly I would router the edges of the enclosure

I think you are very creative in your desgn and I like it, jsut some finishing details if you will.

OH and I'd do vinyl or cover it with one layer of glass and resin and paint it instead of carpet... carpet always looks kind of cheap especialy after 2-6 months.

For the headliner I used a 1" peice of foam that is used for seat cushions, Im sorry I didnt take any progress pics while making it, I will try to when I do the headliner in my other car.

I've already got the plans to do with the plexi over the cap but I am going to put mirrored plexi under the cap and on the sides first then a peice of clear on top. and if done right the carpet doesnt look bad over time.

OMG That headliner is wicked. Dude, I am definatly going to do something like that, what kind of glkue did you use, I tried 3M spray for my Laser but it just fell off when it got hot oustide?

The stuff I used it says right on the can Headliner Glue it was 20 bucks a can but I only used about 3/4 found it at the same fabric store I bought the headliner stuff from
