hey there everyone, i'm posting because i am trying to put on a body kit on my car, and it seems as tho they MIGHT have given met he 97 body kit style, but i can't be 100% sure. there is about and inch difference on the front bumper center mounting area, and when i try to fit hte bumper over my headlights it seems as though my headlights are a couple of inches too long.

what i am wondering is if the 96 (like mine) and the 97 + styles have different headlight lengths, or if this boyd kit is messed up. i know that the back bumper and everything else fit just fine, its just that the front and the lights just don't mix.

if one were to have to convert to 97 style lights, then what would i need? i mean i got the bumper and do i have to get just the lights? the fenders fit fine on my lights by the way, i'm nto sure if the two models have different fender styles. any help will be great, thanks!!

WTF WTF

all youd need now is the lights from a 97-99, that is, if they really gave you a kit for a 2gB. if not, then its just a crappy fitting body kit like all the rest of them.

perhaps loading some pics would help.

I have a 97 front bumper, and my projectors are from a 95. The only thing you will notice is a small gap between the headlights ( not something that can be seen unless you stand in front of it )

The 95 headlights are a little longer than 97 ones, if you want you might want and purchase 97-99 projectors and do the whole change to the car, bodykit + projectors.

If you want to have a better idea on how it might look pm me and Ill give you a couple of pics so that you can have a better idea of how it looks.

how is the most important question not asked yet?... where did you get the kit from?many cheap companies (ebay kits) dont even have a different front for the 95-96 and 97-99 like they should, they just have one kit for the 95-99. and then, even if you did order a 95-96 front bumper from somewhere, what company made the kit, it could just be a bad kit. but if it is a legit company, then it is possible that you got the wrong front, and the easier solution would be to get 97-99 headlights. either cheap stockers from ebay or something, or shell out a little cash for projectors.

Yup you have a 97-99(2gb) bumper. The bumper will overlap 95-96 headlights. It will look ok, you might have to trim it a bit to make the inside part clear. I have a 95 with a 97-99 front kit as well and I still have the stock headlights. Next choice as mentioned is to buy 97-99 headlights.

I am Defiant, search!!!!! :phttp://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=136800
