I got my car painted about a month and a half ago and was wondering what I could do to it to get that nice mirror look to it. Do I have to wetsand and buff it? or can I just throw some wax on it?

Did you get a Maaco type paint job? or did you have a paint shop do the work? I head Maaco do my roof a while back to keep it from rusting and I had to wet sand it a lot to get a decent gloss to it. A good paint job shouldn't need any work.

Most good quality paint shops will tell you not to wax your car at all for the first few months so that the clear will set up real nice after that you can clay bar it and wax it really good.

do not wax a car for 3 or more month's so the solvents can come out or your pant may come off in spots i try to tell people that all day long(work at a body shop)
the best way to get a car to shine is with a polish it will not fill in the pores
i use whats called system one it is a 3 step thing but looks sweet
i can take a 10 year old paint job and make it look new
and for your paint you probably need to wet sand but if it's a cheap paint job
i would not touch if you will probably go thou :thumb:

I agree. If it is a cheap job, a wetsand will probably penatrate the clear and then you will have to start over again. Also, if decide to wetsand/buff, dont do it your self. Ive seen too many people try to buff themselves that werent experienced and the they would burn through the clear. Take it to a professional and let them give you their opinion on how it should be handled.
