Fog Lights

I was walking around my local junk yard and saw some fog lights on a first gen, one had normal looking fog lights with just a clear lense but two cars had a black cat looking face on the center of the fog lights, i was going to pull a pair off and use them but i wanted to know the difference between normal ones and the ones that had the black cat face on it. Which works better?

The black cat face one's are factory, I can tell you that.

The clear and the catface are both factory. That cat face used to be the trademark of Marchal lamps out of France. Both Marchal and Cibie have been absorbed by Valeo. Apparently they let the cat stay. Some of the eighties Mustangs had the same logo on their foglights, but I don't know if that was early enough to be just Marchals or not.

It may just have been the cars I bought, but both 93 talons, and the 94 talon I bought all had cat face on the fogs, the 92 eclipse I bought had clear lenses. I always thought it was a Talon thing or something
